We’re having a heatwave, and even though I’m not in the Red Warning zone, it’s not great. The studio is fairly uncomfortable, and I managed a wee bit of painting before retreating downstairs to the cooler room. It’s still quite warm, and I had to have a cold shower to get a handle on the combination of perimenopause and heatwave.
I brought a couple of sketchbooks and some new pastels down to play with. I have been seeing people waxing lyrical about the latest iteration of the Caran d’Ache Neoart Pastel for months, but I haven’t succumbed, until this week.
I only bought three to try, and I am hooked. They are the Caran d’Ache Neoart 6901 Oil Pastels, and they are amazing. For starters they dry. This is huge. They dry and they don’t smudge and they glide across the page like butter. I’m sold, other than the full set being Not Cheap.
Who wants to buy a painting? 😀 😀 😀
It’s going to be cooler tomorrow, but probably another day where the bulk of the art will be done downstairs.
Til the morn,
Suzanne
