Today I spent some time sorting through my burgeoning collection of WIPs. I don’t worry too much about unfinished things, they eventually either get finished, or they become something else, and it’s good fun going through them and choosing what still speaks to me versus what can be let go and become and not blank canvas.
This painting last had my attention in February, and I do want this one resolved. I noticed that it got abandoned when I started the 100 Day Project (more on that tomorrow). I decided that the background was too much, so I’ve used a chromatic black to push that back, and already I like it more.
I did similar with a few other WIPs today, and moved them on a bit.
