Today’s share is from today’s 100 Day Project.
I started out with a ground using Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold, which is a Golden paint that was discontinued a wee while back, leaving many folk scrambling to get hold of some before all the stock went. I have a wee stash, but what’s the point of stashing paint? It’s only wasted if it stays in the container.
Because I was introducing the QNAG to the palette, I mixed a new black which included it. I was not thrilled with the mix of Phthalo Blue and QNAG to be honest, but decided to keep going and see what happened.
Well, once the colours that looked a bit Not Me were off the palette and onto the ground, I was much more convinced, and I’m adding that mix story to my colour notes book.
I love it when paint just surprises me.
Til the morn,
Suzanne
