Not My Mess

If you’ve been following along you will know that there is no greater expert at interfering with my daily art practice than yours truly. Even if I always manage to somehow maintain my daily art practice, there are days when procrastination gets right in the way of it all, and that’s on me.

It’s frustrating, but not half as bloody frustrating as a day when I am fully geared up for painting, got started early, and am getting in the zone, and some other person decides to plant their whisk in my day and spin for hours.

It’s not even very exciting. They had an accident, damaged my property and I was helping them resolve the issue the way that they wanted, now they’ve decided to go a different route, and they just decided to keep on and on texting me with pointlessness for some reason. Ugh. I’m trying to paint!

I am amused at how imperious I felt about the infractions on my time when I am often more than capable of creating my own infractions on my time, but the less said about that the better.

The painting I did do just isn’t photographing well because I was playing with a dark background again, and trying a different version of the figure drawing starting with darks, so there’s no contrast as yet, and it just looks like a dark page.

So today’s share is the gel print I made, which is far more interesting, and I’m quite taken with it. A good gel print will always cheer up a meh day.

The star blobs are my gift to the scrapy people.

Til the morn, when I will be putting my phone in airplane mode.
