
A fun thing about acrylic paint is that it has two drying points. Initially it becomes touch dry quite quickly, and then around two weeks later it is cured, fully dry. There’s a nice window around the touch dry stage where you can kind of reactivate it with water.
This is handy if the figure you have sketched on the canvas board is one of the most borked figure drawing you have done, and that’s how this canvas started. The end result is an entirely different pose where hand and eye were communicating at more acceptable levels.
If it doesn’t work, go again.
