Which Do I Like More?

Interesting experiment.

I play around with colour and use different colours for the ground all the time, but I don’t think I’ve ever painted two paintings together to compare how I feel one versus the other.

It’s an entirely different exercise than painting one on a blue background on one day, and on another day painting on something warmer, you can really get up close with the different feelings, and things that you enjoy, and things that you don’t, and the difference in the way the paintings flowed.

I did this with timed sessions for each one, thirty minutes to do the sketches, then thirty minutes on the warm followed by thirty on the cool, and repeat. I used the same palette, and the results are interesting.

I enjoyed painting the warm version more, but I’m leaning towards the result on the cool canvas now, so that’s fun.

To the scrapers scraping my blog to rip off my art, or train your disgusting environment-destroying machines, may your day be full of putrid substances, broken code, and the consequences of your shitty actions. I could paint the worst painting in the universe and it would still be better than the inane slop you churn.

If you carry on, I may just stop posting.

🙂

Til the morn,

Suzanne
