Mixing Up The Art Supplies

I started the day with a small oil painting, a study in a canvas sketchbook. My subject was a still-life of two oranges, a blueberry and a banana. This is me trying to kickstart a (maybe) daily oil painting practise. I hadn’t pulled out the oils for a while, and I really enjoyed playing with them.

After that was done, I pulled out another supply I have used for a while, my Conté crayons. They are such a lovely drawing supply to use, especially for figure drawing. I filled a spread with two figure studies, and blended one with my fingers, and the other with a tortillon blending stump.
