Both these pages were prepped before I travelled, and let me just say I was not in the mood for yellow, especially with limited supplies. It’s a fun reference, though, so it’s in the sketchbook as a first go.
I am used to standing for painting, and I was really struggling with sitting to work today. I was also not connecting, but there was lots going on around me, so I’m fine with two OK pages. The second page is more pleasing than the first, I suppose.
What I really wanted today was a big A1 sheet, a large brush, and music, but all those things are not in my travel art kit. Poo.
I saw something today about painting for the sake of painting, rather than the results, and it’s a good reminder that the doing is the point. I always feel better after doing, even if I’m not feeling the results.
