I had a parcel due today, and it was due in a specific timeframe, and so I planned my day accordingly. I am one of those people who just can’t focus if there’s some sort of appointment or happening, but I thought it would be fine because the timeframe was morning.
Pfft.
The parcel, which had the added urgency of being art supplies from Jackson’s, did not arrive in the allotted time slot, and this threw me. I don’t know why I’m sharing this, and in the great scheme of things it was a pretty minor thing, other than I didn’t get several of the things done that I planned to do.
I did do the above portrait, and I it ended up coming good, despite going through a bit of dramatics (in my brain) over the choice of colours for the limited palette. I’m really enjoying the red backgrounds just now.
