
I spent some time today rearranging a few of my shelves, moving things that I use into more accessible spaces, and less useful things out of the way. I found a few things I had forgotten about, and I should probably do a shelf emptying task once a month just to reacquaint myself with things. Not that I have too many art supplies, or anything…
For this painting in my A3 sketchbook I went with a fluorescent magenta ground, nice and subtle, of course. I’m trying to choose different colours each day to play with palettes and see what I like, love, and meh. Today’s mix was Indian red, yellow ochre and ultramarine with titanium white. It’s quite muted, but the ground adds a bit of pop.
