Handy

Storm Floris was not a pleasant accompaniment to the day, but we appear to have suffered no damage, other than one very upright stem of my very wild rose bush might be broken.

I went back to yesterday’s portrait and did some correcting, then hung it with the growing collection of brown paper pieces.

When I was in Aberdeen I picked up another two packs of those bargain sketchbooks, and this time it was an even lower price for the set of three. I bought the two packs despite not having tested out the previous purchase, so I set one of the A3 books up today, and started doing some hand studies.

There’s the painting of the figure wrapped around the pole that I still have to resolve, and I have a couple of ideas that I might like, so the hand studies are related to that. Plus, hands are just fun, and complex, and a good challenge.

Til the morn,

Suzanne
