I had an unplanned stint in the garden today because a pot luck box of Sedum cuttings arrived a day early. I’m not complaining. The box was stuffed with way more plants than I was expecting, and I’m not complaining about that either. Some of them are so tiny, but they are easy to get going, and they are all potted.
Once that was done, I decided to have a play with an art journal, and see how the transparencies technique looks. To me, art journals are just sketchbooks, places for ideas and experiments, and not really trying for finished art pages. Sometimes I do finish a spread or page, but it’s not my main focus.
I do like how this spread looks, with one of my portrait drawings collaged in, especially after all the energy I have put into getting the images to transfer in a way that makes me happy.
