I was not feeling at all comfortable today as we were being battered by Storm Éowyn, and I mostly spent a lot of time pacing until my other half finally got home. A pox on shitty employers who force their people to travel when there’s a red danger to life weather warning. Ugh.
He got home unscathed and then I managed a wee session painting. I honestly had absolutely no idea what to paint, and the studio room is upstairs, wheich is where the worst noise of the storm was rattling.
I used a primed sheet of cartridge paper, and used the paint that was lying out from yesterday, and the art journal page from yesterday, and painted that screaming mouth again, which is a little bit how I felt for a lot of the day.
As far as we know our house has no damage, although there were some wild moments after dark which may have impacted the roof, but for now we think we are fine. Others weren’t so lucky, and one of the trees I see from my window, an old silver birch, has come down, so that is sad.
Til the morn,
Suzanne
