Playing with my homemade stay-wet palette and some colour mixing today. I find the stay-wet palette a little challenging because it has sides, and is therefore an enclosed and limited space, and this sort of requires a bit of structure and organisation of paint, and I am not sure I am built that way.
But you never know, and it’s always good to try different ways of doing things, and maybe I’ll invent my own modification.
I picked two colours, plus black and white, and started creating a colour palette, and then I dug out the large square sketchbook I bought a while back that I couldn’t live without, and then promptly didn’t do anything in it at all…
This colour mixing thing was what I had planned for the sketchbook, so I’m happy to have finally started doing more than thinking about the idea.
Obviously I didn’t get the full colour mix completed, and that’s why the stay-wet palette is a wonderful thing. More tomorrow.
Til the morn,
Suzanne
