I spent today playing with different things, just seeing how my revamped space works for me. It will take me a minty to get used to things, but so far it’s a lot more fun to play in, and a lot more flexibility in what I can get up to.
Having my old tall table at the end of my workbench is just luxury. I can play with two or three things at once, and have plenty of space. The little picture shelf at the back of the table means I can prop things up like a little gallery of what’s happening today.
I got a circle punch yesterday, and I broke it in today, punching holes in some old book pages. The image on the left shows some of the circles, and also shows some of them collaged onto a junk journal page. I really like the effect. The leftover paper with holes makes fun stencils for the gel plate, and you can see a bit of that in the left hand photo too.
Sticking with the gel plate, I tried out my drookit hare with the bright colours I had been playing with, and some circles. He needs some more details, but it was a fun experiment. I had some leftover paint, so I painted a purple crow in my sketchbook.
A fun day playing and figuring out the rhythm of my new space.
Til the morn,
Suzanne
