Cheap Sketchbook Success

In theory doing a straight swap of two bookcases and a table to a larger space than the space they were in should be quite a simple undertaking, but no… I’ve completely changed my studio room space, and as much as I am knackered from the decluttering and organising, I am soooooo happy with my “new” space.

I found a pile of unused sketchbooks I was given ages ago. I know they were Very Cheap, and I put them away thinking I probably wouldn’t use them because the paper is a bit, well, cheap.

I decided to test one out with the sludge gesso and see if that will give the pages a bit of substance, and so far so good. I tried a sketch with very watered down acrylic ink, and it looks like I can use the sketchbooks for basic sketching practise. That’s great, because there are two A4 ones, and a pile of eight A5 ones, and it would be a shame not to use them.

Looking forward to getting stuck in to my all new studio room with two tables and lots more space.

Til the morn,

Suzanne
