Today I watched a video showing the exploded remains of a journalist gathered into a shoebox, topped off with a piece of his scalp, and placed in a carrier bag.
None of the people who could stop this want to stop it.

I thought in my youth that the hopefulness of the hippie movement would spread around the world and we’d live to see peace in our lifetimes. Here I am, weeks away from turning 70 and I am at a loss to understand how we are so close to absolute anarchy taking over the world. I don’t understand how a country created as a place of peace & security for a people who were hunted down, tortured, murdered, and treated worse than animals, how they can forget the horrors their parents & grandparents endured, and become the hunter with a bloodlust focus on wiping a certain group of people off the face of the earth? They, of all the peoples on this planet, they who may still have people alive who bear tattooed numbers, THEY should be devoted to peace and brotherhood, to working towards a world of unity, and yet they slaughter in the name of their god. 😢
