I didn’t have much time today, but I did manage a couple of figure studies. The first is on the right of the spread, and my reference was on my phone, which made it difficult to assess the shadows. I wasn’t trying to stick closely to the reference, anyway, because I wanted to round her out a bit. The hand goes off the top of the image on my phone, so if I want to do more with this pose, I will want to see if there’s a version with the hand.
The second study, on the left of the spread, is painted from an sketch in my tiny sketchbook. I am going to try and do more spreads with this book, so just trying things out, as usual.
