New art supplies rock, and they rock even more when someone just surprises me with them.

The ceramic palette is one of those things I didn’t know I needed until it was handed to me. I love it. I do have a couple of others, but this one is a nice size, and it’s also grey, so it’s definitely going to be useful.
I have loads of acrylic paint, probably too much really (is there such a thing?) but I only have one pouch of Sennelier abstract, and I used it recently and really like it. Now I have two pouches.
Acrylic gouache is something I haven’t played with. I think I have one random tube somewhere. I do have traditional gouache, but the acrylic gouache is a different game. A nice, subtle colour for me to play with, too, so looking forward to messing about with it.
The goddesses will be blessing someone 🙂
Art-wise today I played around with a batch of faces I made a while back. I’m not sure I posted them, and they are just simmering away. I also had some fun in my sketchbook. I started out with my usual scratchy brush and my caput mortuum, but I decided to try a much larger scratchy brush and some acrylic ink for a change.

Same process, different tools, and a different result.
Til the morn,
Suzanne
