Printing Paraphernalia

100 Day Project Day 78

My mixed media girl is drowning in layers today, which is lots of fun, but she’s currently in a soggy almost out of ugly stage, and every photo I try to take has weird glare, so there’s no photo update on her.

I got one of my gel plates out today, as I need some collage fodder for this girl. I have loads of collage fodder, but I wanted to make some, so that’s what I did. Here’s one of the results.

In an ideal world I would have a studio with a dedicated space for monoprinting, but I do try to remember to drag the plates out because they are one of the most useful tools I have.

In other semi-arty news, I am absolutely over the moon with the fact we picked up and old printer’s tray. I’ve been vaguely hankering after one for years, but have never seen one locally.

Today was the day, and I’m in love.

All those little nooks waiting for treasures, and it still has the handle from when it was a drawer in a large cabinet. It also still has the labels indicating the typeface. Just absolutely lovely.

Woo hoo.

Tile the morn,

Suzanne
