Fitting It All In
I decided not to completely obliterate the early scratchings of this one, and just added more layers, and it is looking a lot better than yesterday. It’s weird being back in the studio after nine days with only a corner of someone else’s dining table. It’s almost like starting at the beginning again. I got…

Bad Art Day Have Some Trees
Today was a travel day, returning home, and feeling a bit discombobulated. I have done a short session of painting, a figure on one of the wee canvas boards, but it is really bad, hilariously bad, and the canvas is going to get another coat of gesso the morn. Here’s a path between two burns…

You really just have to start with no expectations, or even low expectations, and…

Pattern
Another pattern layering session on one of the mini canvases for the 100 Day Project. Hand painting these curves, inspired by some fungi I found in the woods, took quite a while and was quite meditative, which was definitely needed. Til the morn, Suzanne 744/800

Head in Hands
I suppose trying to play with distortion on a complex pose on a tiny canvas while feeling a bit stressed was a big ask. We’ll call it a first layer. The 100 Day Project continues. Til the morn, Suzanne 743/800
