Day 29 of 100 Day Project
There are 28 mini canvases here, and the other one that I don’t include with the figures, because it doesn’t fit, so I’m still keeping up with the one canvas for every day. That isn’t how they’ve come together, sometimes I sketch on a couple, then work them on another day, but it always seems to end up at one for every day when I count them.
The one where I tried the pan pastels image transfer with the gel plate now has a charcoal image transfer as part of the fix.
If you’re interested in that process, it goes like this:
- draw your piece on paper with pastels or charcoal
- press your gel plate onto the drawing
- the charcoal should transfer to the plate
- apply gel medium, or clear gesso, or acrylic paint to the gel plate
- place you paper on the gel plate and leave to dry
- have a cup of tea, avoid doomscrolling
- pull the image from the plate and admire
- you can do more work with the pull, or use it as is
Til the morn,
