Blue Monday

100 Day Project #23 6×6″ acrylic on canvas

I pulled out a tube of manganese blue today. It’s such a beautiful colour, and I haven’t used it for ages. I put it together with quinacridone magenta. I’m amused by the phone pic, which seems to have emphasised the shadow under the arm to make it look like a claw. I think the paint was still a bit wet, when I took the photo. The distortion of the shadow is giving me ideas, tho.

Monsters, everywhere.

I saw a headline today that said “A petri dish of human brain cells is currently playing Doom. Should we be worried?” and I though that was a novel way to describe the Orange King.

Alongside that was some tripe about “how should women dress in their 50s?” and I thought – are we still doing this??? WITH CLOTHES THEY LIKE.

Honestly, that fucker is destroying everything, but women dressing ourselves through a hormone storm is the big worry.

Fuck the patriarchy.
