I did some more work with the black graphite pencils, and then I made a charcoal sketch with much faster, looser movements, and I like the difference.
I bought a small can of “low odour” fixative, because with all the rain we have had there is a backlog of charcoal and pastel works needing fixed. The idea with the “low odour” fixative was that I might be able to do some fixing inside.
Well.
Your “low odour” and my “low odour” are probably very different things, and my low odour is definitely a different thing from the makers of this fixative.
In fairness, it is much less stinky than all the other types I own, but not less stinky enough for me to use it inside. Ugh.
In other news, my favourite model, Dinoopis, made an appearance on Instagram last night, and she may even be returning to posting new shapes, and I am well chuffed by that. She was also extremely complimentary about my art, so that was nice. It’s quite an honour when your model likes how you are painting them.
Til the morn,
