Sparkle Castle

It’s snowing as I type, but it’s late in the evening, and the snow arrived around 12 hours later than forecast. We ended up with a glorious day, and the first blue sky and sunshine I have seen for about a month.

We wandered round to Inverness Castle, since it recently re-opened following a refurbishment and transformation into an immersion experience thingy.

I had no idea what to expect, but I thoroughly enjoyed the way they have designed this experience. It’s all about the Highlands, Highland culture and stories, the landscape, and the immersive presentations were right up my street. Much sparkles, and me trying not to turn it into an interpretive dance neurodivergent extravaganza 😀

I’ll post some photies the morn, as I’m quite tired.

Today’s art, above, is a sketch of the Flora MacDonald statue that stands outside the castle. There are very few statues of women around, so she’s a treat.

Til the morn,

Suzanne
