The last three sheets of my A3 sketchbook are very difficult to paint on because I have painted so much in the book that it has bloomed into a luscious but bouncy thing.
I’m also feeling like using much more gestural mark-making, and a 2″ wide brush on a bouncy sketchbook is good practise.
