I was a bit discombobulated this morning because my lodger dog arrived. For some reason I thought he would be arriving in the afternoon, and was a bit surprised to get the message he and his humans were arriving the back of eleven.
I had time to get a quick art session in before he arrived, just in case, and so I grabbed one of the canvases I started as a batch a wee while back.
I had decided I wasn’t liking the background, and the other day I covered the whole thing, including the hands, in quinacridone magenta acrylic ink.
There will probably be more layers, but for today I went back to the hands to bring them out again, this time with turquoise and payne’s grey. I’ve played with the lower hand a bit to change the position, and this is just a stage on the journey, so where it goes will be interesting.
Despite the discombobulation, the upshot is that I get a few hours more of doggie bosies than I was expecting, and painting was still done.
Til the morn,
