Gel Prints on Denim

I’m going through the Decisions Stage of my painting, so I didn’t some swatching and will do more tomorrow.

The rest of my time was spent sorting my fabric stash, and doing a very basic inventory in my notes app. I have some ideas bubbling away, and so I wanted to reacquaint myself with what I have so it’s easy to find when I get started.

I found some denim that I printed using my gel plate at some point, and I have an idea for those pieces, so I tested out the eyelets I have and it looks they will work on the thicker fabric, so I’ll be able to start on that tomorrow if I am not caught up in my painting.

Til the morn,

Suzanne

Excuse me. Gel printing on fabric?? Did I miss a lesson somewhere? I have never heard of that. Would you be so kind as to enlighten me (as I sit here with 3 pairs of nice thick, old denim jeans (mens size) with worn out crotch seams, wondering how could I upcycle them. And I swear, you find the very best stencils … or did you make those? Regardless, I LOVE the result and am further enamoured of your artistic prowess.

I wrote a wee post for you, which I see you’ve already seen 🙂 I didn’t make these stencils, but I am planning on making some soon. Hope all is well with you xx
