Linocut Pictish Beastie

Two coats of gesso have unified the texture collage on the canvas, and I left it to dry overnight. I’m obsessed with the muslin texture, but I haven’t started painting on it, so I may change my mind soon enough.

I dug out my linocut bits and pieces and reacquainted myself with not gouging pieces out of my hand while swearing. I set myself the slightly bonkers task of cutting a fine line image, which was just silly since it’s quite a while since I have done any linocuts. It turned out just right for what I want to print, and there were no injuries.

The Pictish Beastie is one of my personal symbols, and I think it’s going to fit in perfectly with this idea I am working on.

Til the morn,

Suzanne
