
I thought I had solved the bleeding ink conundrum, but it was not the ink setting on the printer that caused the bleed. I had fun doing this, even though it’s technically a failure. It’s not a failure, I don’t look at art experiments that way.
I have two theories. The first is that maybe I should leave the print to dry for a few hours before soaking for the transparency, the second is that maybe this particular hygiene roll isn’t compatible with the printer ink, and maybe tissue paper would be better for this process. The idea of testing all the available brands of hygiene roll isn’t filling me with joy, there’s 40m on each roll, so I think that’s a no.
I’m on a mission to find the right combination.
