Irritated

Morning timed sketching is so good. The sketches themselves may not always land, but the process and practise has shifted my creativity to a better place.

For Day 10 of the 100 Day Project I used the same reference as the sketch, and the same Zorn palette as yesterday. I decided just to use my No 6 long flat brush, and try to loosen up with gestural brushwork. I wanted a bit of an abstraction with the features too. I’m still deciding if I succeeded, usually if I am undecided I figure that out the next day.

I’m probably going to go again with this reference because the nose doesn’t quite work for me, and I do like the attitude she has.
