Back To It

I got myself a new medium from Gamblin that is solvent free. It’s supposed to be a substitute for Liquin, and it definitely doesn’t smell like Liquin, which stinks, but it’s my first try with it, so I am not sure if I like it.

I switched things up today in a couple of other ways. I used a larger brush, and tried to stand 18″ away from the easel, because I felt like I was getting too close up and too caught up in details.

There are things I like, and things I don’t like, but I’m not expecting to love these as I am not aiming for works of art here, I’m aiming for honing skills, and getting comfortable with skills I usually feel intimidated by.

In other news, the tornado lodger dog behaved like and angel, and it was a successful first lodging for him, and he has gone home again, which leave the sofa feeling quite empty.

Til the morn,

Suzanne
