Batch Cooking

I painted the original drookit hare a while back, and I have been playing around with the idea at various points.

Today I used a gel plate and charcoal to transfer a scaled version onto six mini canvases.

They will be the same, but different, and painted as a batch.

I used all six of these canvases for hares, but the sketchbook spread, mostly obscured behind the large hare, has three other ideas, so I might make a series.

Or I might leave the idea lounging on my list for months.

One can never tell.
