Gel Print Collage Layers

I didn’t have much time today, and I was feeling quite stressed, so I did a little sketchbook therapy. There are two different sketchbooks in the picture.

On the left is a quick gel print using the texture plates I made the other day. They give an interesting, subtle effect, which I like. I am going to make some more, but this time use the high-density modelling paste, to see if that makes a difference. I printed this straight into the sketchbook over some previous mark-making.

On the right side is a spread of an A6 sketchbook that has some collage over a scratchy background. The collage pieces are circles cut from gel prints, and there’s also a torn piece if some hand-painted collage fodder.

I love layers, and in this world, finding little moments of satisfaction is worthwhile.

Til the morn,

Suzanne
