I am obsessed with the mark-making and texture effects of this painting tool.
It’s not a painting tool, it’s a pastry basting brush, or it’s a painting tool that looks like a basting brush. If you visit my house and want to baste food, be sure to check you aren’t using a tool that’s been used for painting – that’s problematic, and disguised as something wholesome and good.
I was reminded today about Freddie Oversteegen, and the way that she fought fascism, and looking at the insipid we will only win with love toxic positivity, and knowing that one of these ways of fighting isn’t allyship, it’s a bawhair away from capitulation, and I despair.
Allyship isn’t comfortable.
Til the morn,
Suzanne
