Resting the portrait was slowly morphing into avoiding the portrait which risks slowly morphing into not finishing the portrait, so I had a quiet word with myself and squeezed some paint on the palette.
I have changed the eyes and the jawline, done more work on the lips and nose, and I am much, much happier with it today. I tried to replicate the dress fabric, which is covered in crystals, and I think it looks close to what I want.
I left some of the hair/wig out earlier because I wanted to finish it off once everything else is in place, so that and the last fiddle with the background is all I need to do tomorrow. Oh and massive false eyelashes, oh my god can’t forget those.
