I had a little more time in the studio today, so that was good. I have a block of watercolour paper that doesn’t like watercolour so I going to see how much of a beating it can take with mixed media.
This has four layers before I got to the face, and it hasn’t rebelled. The face is not a self-portrait, although I used my hand mirror and face as reference. It’s not meant to be a likeness, I’m just playing. I was flipping through some old work and came across a couple of things where I was trying an idea out, and I hadn’t taken that idea any further, so that’s the intention here.
