Carrying on with my colour mixing play the other day, I finished mixing the grid of colours for the sketchbook, and then I decided I wanted a set of nine colours, with a mix of lights, mids and darks.
I spent some time mixing colours using the sketchbook palette as inspiration, and I now have nine little screw-top pots with hand-mixed colours. I may add in another colour or two, but I’ll leave that decision for when I come back to the palette next time.
They look like pots of ice-cream, so they are giving me extra joy.
In other news, I had an art supplies package today that was exciting, and then very disappointing. The tiny canvases, round canvas, and cheap art portfolio are all fine, but the package also contained two large canvases, and both canvases are ripped.
When I checked the box, it has been damaged, so I’m guessing that’s why the canvases are damaged. I’m sure the company will replace them, I just find dealing with that sort of thing a trachle. Humph.
Ho hum.
Til the morn,
Suzanne
