The first sketch I did today was from a previous sketch of mine. I was testing an Art Graf product, and I remember I really liked it, and yet I haven’t used it much. Note to self.
Trying to replicate a complex facial expression with my scratchy shitty brush was a challenge. I wasn’t going for detail, which is a good thing, just trying to make the shapes that tell the story.
I had to go out, so I left it where it was, and when I came back I was in the mood for something else.
The hands are out of proportion with each other, but they both look like hands, so I’m happy with that. I decided to leave the face less defined because I liked what happened there. I suppose it’s two different sketches in one, it doesn’t matter, there’s lots I like.
The large hand looks like it could be someone else’s, which is also an idea I could use.
