Deer Morning

A morning walk in the cool, dampness with my senior lodger was a lovely way to start a new day. We were surprised by a Roe Deer, who was just as surprised by us, and I knew it would be a better day.

The deer was in a place it isn’t supposed to be, as the landowner culled all the deer there around a decade ago.

On the one hand, I love that the deer found a way, on the other I hope they remain unnoticed and safe.

We also saw Yellowhammers, who are quite numerous out that way, and my sketchbook practise for today is a Yellowhammer experiment with a Stabilo All, and some Neocolors. I spritzed with water, so it’s gone a bit muddy, but I’ll be doing another layer to get more detail in once it has dried properly.

Oh, one more thing, all hail David Tennant. Wonderful man!

Til the morn,

Suzanne
