My wee bam, who is my parent’s dog, is lodging for a couple of nights. He’s a senior boy, and now comes with a bag of medications and instructions. I try not to think about whether this might be a last visit with us, but the thought crosses my mind.
I absolutely treat him like a king, of course, and this involves staying on the sofa to watch over him while he sleeps and farts.
So today’s art was limited to my new sketchbook, some Neocolor IIs and the gouache in the portable palette I bought recently.
It passes its first test with flying colours, even though it didn’t leave the house.
I decided to try something different in my sketchbook, so I’m painting birds. Or a bird, one bird so far.

Tree sparrows are coming to my feeders just now, and I was seeing them out the window as I was sketching, so we’re doing a nature diary the day 🙂
Have an inspiring weekend.
Til the morn,
Suzanne
