New Phone Bleurgh

I have 104 blank painting surfaces that aren’t paper – stretched canvases, canvas boards, linen canvases, wooden panels and gesso boards. They vary in size from teeny tiny 4×5″ to 24×30″ and I have accumulated them over a long time. Some of them were lost in boxes in the garage, which is perhaps why more were accumulated.

They are now all listed in a doc on my organisation app, so that I a) don’t buy duplicates and b) use them.

Well, that’s the theory.

My new phone arrived today, so I have been scrambling for passwords for long-forgotten sign-ins, and am waiting for everything to transfer without a hitch.

Which I know is wishful thinking.

I did pull out one of my newly organised canvases today, and prepped it with some nice fresh gesso, and started sketching a figure onto it. I used one of the extremely cheap brushes I acquired the other day and some green grey acrylic. It was a very quick sketch, and it’s the figure reference I have been sketching from recently, but I’ve now put her on a canvas. Will see where that goes.

First photo on my new phone cam, not sure why it has gone green, or blurry. I hate new phones for approximately five days until I get acclimatised.

Til the morn,

Suzanne
