Organising

A lot of things were accomplished today that did not involve drawing or painting.

A patio area was extended, which sounds a lot more glamorous than simply making a wheelie bin corner a bit more accessible, but it got done. I confess that I did not employ my own patio laying skills of yore, and simply applauded and did a little dance.

Two sets of day/night roller blinds were installed in The Room to more of my applause, and this will work in conjunction with my new Daylight Bulb to make the space much more useful as a painting space.

Things had to be moved to give access to the windows, and instead of just putting all the things back, I decided to do a long overdue sorting and decluttering. In relation to The Room being given decent lighting control options to making it a better painting space, I sorted out all the blank canvases and boards I have accumulated, and it’s safe to say that I won’t be short of a surface to fill in all the days of painting I imagine are going to happen. I did not know that I had so many.

Since I was in Organisational Diva mode, I went through my rack of unfinished/abandoned work and made a list. I have no idea if that will result in anything happening with any of it, but it’s nice to reaquaint myself with it in case something gets sparked.

So a very productive day of organising my space, but it got to 4pm and no art had been done so..

Here’s the result of 15 minutes with inktense blocks, stabilo all and some acrylic paint and a flat brush. It’s messy, it’s not It, it’s unfinished, but I did not break the chain today 🙂

Til the morn,

Suzanne

I love that shade of blue you used for the face! And bravo on the arranging & rearranging of your art space and your supplies. I also noticed that you are at 103/200! It’s nice to see you committing to another 100 days.

Meanwhile, I’ve spent the past 100 days procrastinating on creating art most of the time. A few times I’ve laid down sketches and once (last week) I picked up my brushes and created something. That got me going a bit, so I’ve taken a pastoral scene of a country lane and sketched that out this morning. It’s ready & waiting for me to paint, hopefully over the weekend since the rest of today & tomorrow are busy.

Keep up the great work! ❤

Well, I have spent quite a lot of the past 100 days procrastinating too, there were definitely days where I came close to breaking my streak! I hope you get some time to finish that painting, sounds lovely. xx
