Sketchbook Sunday

100 Day Project Day 85

We went for another late night wander last night to see if we could see the Northern Lights again, but they weren’t showing themselves, and it started to cloud over. We tried a different spot up the back of the town further away from the lights, which I think would be a good spot to see them, although it involves carrying a torch. There’s a possibility they will be dancing tonight, but we have cloud, so finger’s crossed.

I did lots of work in my sketchbooks today, both drawing and painting, and had a good day. I put one drawing up on Instagram, and they immediately suppressed it. It didn’t even stay on my own feed for a moment, it just loaded and was gone. It’s an Asian Hornet, possibly the kind of hornet that attacked all those IOF soldiers in Gaza.

Instagram just announced some changes that were supposed to increase visibility for small creators making original content, but I guess that doesn’t include people talking about genocide. Oh well.

I sketched a Raven too, playing with two kinds of ink. I had been in the garden earlier, and a Rook was observing me from across the way, and I am just a Corvid person. We don’t see Ravens here, they prefer more remote places, but I love them all.

All Eyes On Rafah,

Til the morn,

Suzanne
