100 Day Project Day 76
Things that make my heart sing are myriad, and include drawing a face with a water soluble supply and then spraying with a misting bottle to see what happens. When it’s a supply I haven’t used before, on paper I haven’t used before, the singing goes a bit off the scale.

This is Stonehenge Aqua Hot Press watercolour paper, and my photo is just a process photo, so it’s not doing the whiteness of the paper justice. I bought a single sheet to try out, and this is a quarter of the sheet.
I used concentrated watercolour and my glass pen to go over the lines for my face sketch, then sprayed with the mister, and the effect is just lovely. I don’t think I’ll be keeping all the bleeding ink effect, but I’ll be keeping some of it.
I’m stopping here so the layers get a chance to dry before I do some more layering, but I’m really happy with the paper, and the concetrated watercolour inks that I haven’t used before.
Not art related, but if you are interested in good conversations then I recommened this conversation between two amazing women, Olayemi Olurin and Imani Barbarin. I’m a big fan of both, and it’s absolutely essential listening.
Til the morn,
Suzanne
