100 Day Project Day 29
I heard about an artist who is making art despite being displaced from her home. Her name is Hala, and as far as I can tell, she is currently displaced to Rafah, in the south of Gaza. Today Netanyahu has stated that he still intends to invade Rafah, despite international opposition*. I painted today thinking about Hala continuing to paint despite the terror.
*In terms of governments, opposition is just empty words while arms and money continue to be sent.
I did a fair bit on the watercolour and acrylic ink piece, and I’ll probably finish it tomorrow.
I started another mixed media piece with a collage background, and I’m leaving that to fully dry overnight before starting the next layer. I haven’t done much collage recently, so it was a nice change.
I also pulled out my gouache paints and did some swatching in my colour sketchbook.

Til the morn,
Suzanne
