100 Day Project Day 20
I have a doggie pal lodging for the weekend, which is food for the soul. He’s a bit of an old man, so I will probably be lodged downstairs on the couch keeping him company.
That’s what I did this afternoon, and I took a sketchbook and a limited selection of sofa-friendly supplies to see what happened.
I took a watercolour tin that I haven’t used very much, two water brushes, a Stabilo All, and my box of Neocolors, and just loosened up and played.
I am not a watercolour artist at all, but I do love them, so I did some loose mark-making, which turned into a little sketch. There’s a Hare in a frame on my wall, so I used that as a reference for another page, and once I was loosened up, I sketched my wee lodger. Last up I used one of my art pieces on the wall as a reference for a fun little face.

A different kind of art practise today, and it’s good to mix it up.
It’s International Women’s Day, and I am mostly thinking about the women being killed in Gaza, and those who are living in horrific, imposed, conditions, who have no voice.
Israel have now deployed those dancing robot dogs we’ve all been seeing on social media for years. The dogs aren’t dancing, they are fitted with guns, and their job is to kill civilians.
Yes, that’s where we are at.
Feminism isn’t feminism if it isn’t talking about this.
It isn’t a “happy” IWD.
Til the morn,
Suzanne
