100 Day Project Day 15
I am obsessing about the sketchbook I decided I really can’t justify buying. I am just writing this here because I think it’s hilarious that I am now even more obsessed with buying the thing than I was before I counted all my sketchbooks, piled them up, and decided adding this particular book to my collection is crossing the line.
I don’t even know who makes up these rules, but it certainly something to do with shame about taking up space, being too much, and all that inner critic self talk.
In the spirit of not buying the book, I spent another day in my sketchbooks, pulling out two I haven’t really touched for a while. I spent some time drawing with my Pitt pens, which I love but haven’t picked up for a while.
The spiral blobs were just observational drawing from one of my Pinterest boards. They are sculptures by Roman Khalilov that fascinate me. Spirals are a motif I love to use. Playing in that book, drawing these objects inspired me to pull out my little A5 sketchbook that I had designated as a themed book on circles.

I filled a page with these doodles, and my brain started firing off ideas about how I might use them elsewhere, and that is where I wanted to go with my art today, just playing in my sketchbook, and letting the ideas start flowing.
I’m also excited about the picture ledges we bought today. We got three, for now, which works out at around 2.5m of space for pictures, and I am looking forward to getting all the canvases and art that are finished off the floor.
Happy Sunday,
I don’t pray, other than for a ceasefire,
Til the morn,
Suzanne
