How to begin a new blog?
It begins with just one word, and I choose “luig”…
Luig v.“To become loose or detached… to open out… to fray… to take apart… to tease out…” Dictionary of the Scots Language. 2004. Scottish Language Dictionaries Ltd.
I’ll add a picture, because pictures are good, and pictures tell stories…
I was standing at the shore snapping pictures of First Light. I was in a dwam, enjoying my walk, enjoying the pauses to indulge my creativity, and enjoying the painting evolving in the sky.
My camera was in my hand. My walk is multi-purpose, and includes a large hound on a lead. It suits me to just snap as I please.
My reverie was interrupted by a man. He did not say “hello”, or remark on the beauty of the morning. He arrived in a puff of smoke and began setting up a tripod.
I carried on snapping.
The peace and tranquility was interrupted when the man declared, uninvited: “You need a tripod for this light.”
I smiled kindly, and we left him to explain things to himself, or to someone else.
I wandered off, knowing the tide and time would be perfect when I reached a favourite spot for snapping…
I still did not have a tripod…
